Laser treatment · St Kilda, Melbourne

Unsure whether laser is
right for your skin?

Discuss whether laser may suit your skin with Dr Marie-Claire, with clear advice on risks, recovery and alternatives.

Understanding your options

A closer look at laser treatment.

Laser treatment uses light energy to treat the skin. The approach depends on the device, the settings and your individual assessment.

About UltraClear

UltraClear is a laser system used for skin resurfacing. If you are considering this treatment, the consultation is where Dr Marie-Claire can explain the proposed approach, its limitations and the alternatives for your skin.

Suitability cannot be established from a webpage or a callback. Your skin, medical history and expectations all need to be considered before a treatment plan is made.

Before you decide

Make room for the practical questions.

Your consultation should help you understand the treatment and what it could mean for your day-to-day life.

Is it suitable for my skin?

Discuss your skin concerns, medical history and previous treatments. Laser may not be the right option for everyone.

What might it feel like?

Ask about discomfort, how it may be managed and what to expect during and after the proposed treatment.

How should I plan for recovery?

Discuss aftercare and time away from your usual activities. Recovery depends on the treatment and the individual.

What are the limits?

Ask about risks, possible complications, realistic outcomes and whether a course of treatment might be considered. Individual results vary.

A few things to know

Before your callback.

Does a callback request book a treatment?

No. It asks the practice to contact you about your enquiry. An appointment must be arranged separately, and treatment is planned only after consultation.

What happens at the first consultation?

New patients begin with the Aesthetic Assessment. Dr Marie-Claire discusses your concerns and medical history, assesses suitability and explains options, risks and expected recovery. You can read more about the assessment.

Can I find out the cost before treatment?

Your proposed treatment and its costs are discussed during consultation before you decide whether to proceed. The Aesthetic Assessment is a 60-minute consultation, priced at $330 AUD inclusive of GST. This fee is deducted from your treatment cost if you proceed. You can view the UltraClear treatment prices before your consultation.

How long does recovery take?

There is no single recovery timeline for everyone. Ask Dr Marie-Claire about the recovery and aftercare for the specific treatment being considered, including how it may affect work and other activities.

What should I include in my enquiry?

Provide your contact details, select your main concern and add a brief description of what you would like to discuss. This helps the practice prepare for your callback. Please leave detailed medical history and photographs for your private consultation.
